April 22, 2014: Dire Warning? Asteroid or Nibiru to Strike the Earth Next Week?

Pat Robertson is at it again and so is the Before It’s News website! The site is reporting that Pat Robertson has claimed that an asteroid impact will occur next week. Maybe Robertson has had a prophetic vision and has seen the arrival of Nibiru or an asteroid pushed along by its gravitational push/pull. It is hard to say what the actual impetus behind the story is, but it does seem to come at or around a time that many of the Nibiru or Planet X researchers expect something big to occur. The only problem with the article and the video seen here is that neither takes into account the fact that Robertson never specifically singles out the last week of April 2014 or “next week” as the date of said asteroid’s arrival. Instead, Robertson really just makes a general claim, citing one of his previous books as possible additional insight in light of another recent story that recognized the growing tendency of NASA to acknowledge the asteroid dangers that we now face.
In some respects, Robertson is right. He is right that an asteroid impact may be the only event that could accurately fit with what Jesus indicates will happen in the end times. Bible prophecy, as stated in both the old and new testaments, alludes to a time when the great and terrible “Day of the Lord” will occur, bringing God’s final wrath upon mankind and evil in general. Prior to this event, or even somewhat concurrent with it, there will be signs in the “heavens” or our solar system. Atmospheric changes may also be indicated here as there may be great changes taking place in the weather as well. Some event that causes great and swift destruction seems to occur right around the time of this judgment. However, we don’t necessarily need to equate an asteroid impact with the final judgment of God Almighty. Coincidences do occur but there is still plenty of randomness in our universe as well. It is better to be ready than just throw in the towel.
